I'm glad to hear she's doing ok! Hope she gets to full recovery quickly!

Texting and driving is one of my biggest peeves! I've been run clear off the road 3 times by them.
One time it was by a semi on a 65mph highway. I was blessed that there was a break in the guard rail exactly where I was run off.
Was forced through it and on to the grass median at 65mph and had to lightly break and then back up 3-400ft to get back on the road again through the guard rail break.
Not to mention how long you have to wait at green lights now-a-days. No one is beeping at the texting lead car to go because they're all doing the same d*mn thing!
Nice driving!

Yeah the txting at lights sucks. Then when you give the horn a little toot to let them know they are asleep at the wheel and they flip you off like you’re the ahole

Thanks.

Right?!? And the kicker is, it's illegal. Law enforcement has done nothing to stop them and that's why it's so prevalent.
It used to be a secondary offense and was changed to a primary but for what?

I stopped riding street motorcycles when I moved to Chicagoland 30 years ago and switched to dirt. Such concern for their social media but not their driving

Yes! But God forbid your window tint is 3% below the 35% legal limit because then you’ll get stopped and end up with a $225 fine! Ask me how I know! Makes no sense! No disrespect to law enforcement or anything but I feel that’s a bit much.

I know right? I had to take the front, side windows tint off to pass inspection. They weren't that dark at all!
I have no disrespect for law enforcement either but we have no justice system. Ask me how I know that.

Ok, I'm going back on topic.

These are the rims I am considering. They are a little more sublte than the others I posted. Not bad at around $600/wheel.

Were those $600 during some kind of sale? They’re $725 now

Who was it? A local shop? I’d like to buy those right now haha. We have the same taste
It was right from the Velgen site. I was looking at the 20” rims which start at $600.

I'm thinking about buying a set of rims from someone who bought a set for an XLT and never used them. They are Niche Road Wheel Misano's. Not the best name in rims but not the worst either. I looked them up online and they go for around $390-$395. This guy is asking $1,200 so it's a good deal. The rims are 20x9 with a +35mm offset. If I get them I will have to get new tires. I hate the tires I have now (Continental CrossContact) and will probably just use them in winter. The Pilot Sport AS4 looks like a good tire but they are almost $500 a tire! The Toyo Proxes ST3 also looks ok but they swing to the other end of the spectrum at only $170 a tire. I did research them and the reviews are mixed. Some say they are great while others say they are loud and have lousy traction. Most said they suck in snow but I'll have the stock rims with the CrossContacts for winter. Then of course there are the Lionhart tires. I hate making decisions! LOL. Picking a size is whole other decision! Good grief!

I liked the Misanos, but they weigh a lot. I’d suggest looking at KRNC forged wheels, they have a lot of cool designs and for a 22x10.5 wheel are around the $1800 range. The Michelins are amazing tires, and worth every penny. Expensive is the only downside, but they are pretty pricey. Stay away from the Toyo’s, if you don’t like the Contis you’ll hate the Toyos. Loud, don’t last long, and horrible wet and snow performance (I mean horrific). If you just want a cheap summer tire, Lionheart is your tire.

No way I’d put narrow ass 9” wide wheels on this big ass car. 10 minimum.
Even if I went with a 20x10, I’d still be limited to what sizes are available in tires. I also prefer more sidewall. I decided to pass on these rims anyway.

As far as tires, here are 2 of my recommendations.
The Falkens are what I now have. The Pirellis I would try solely based on the ratings.
Falkens are not great in snow but they rule on wet and dry roads. I'm FBO and they hold me secure. Already have 32K on them and still plenty left.
Sources are the Tire Rack test grounds and their customer reviews.

How many miles do you have on your Lexani setup? Any cold rain experiences? I don’t see snow here but tons of rain from 40-100°

Hell those are long gone. I’m on my 3rd set of Lionharts and it’s about to get a set of the Atturo AZ850 I think. I’m hard on tires…I average 15-20K miles a set no matter what they are. But…20K miles at $700 a set is much easier to swallow than 15K miles at $3000 a set. lol

How do the Lionhearts do in the rain? I snow performance isn’t good, but that’s what a winter setup is for.

Never had any issues and we do get a little rain on the Texas gulf coast.
