Has anyone experienced this from the dealership? I was told after the sale that all 2025 ST’s manufactured after 11/12/24 will not come with rear window shades. Seems to me like a “bait and switch”, since all of the cars I’ve test driven had them. Thoughts please.
I joined this forum for just this issue. I am old and was fine with my 2019 Edge ST with 27k miles on it, but wanted the Multicontour Active Motion® massaging seats so looked into upgrading to this Explorer ST. We live out in the toolies so do everything by internet and had great experiences buying a RAM 1500 last year from Phoenix and a Chev Colorado ZR2 from Denver over internet that were shipped to our front door. We got exactly every standard item each manufacturer listed on their website. I spoke with three different Ford Dealers in NM, AZ, and CO. The CO out of the door price was best, but NM matched it and I would not have to pay shipping because we lived two hours away. We got there, signed papers and left without even setting up any screen stuff. I did have the sales gal put my phone on it and told her I would call her the next day and she could help me set up everything. We drove home, put the car in the garage, and went to bed. I did not discover there was no Multicontour Active Motion® until setting the screen up with the sales gal over the phone. She knew that is why I upgraded. This should have been no different than the internet purchases where they delivered exactly the promised product as shown on their build sites.
Ford committed fraud. BAIT AND SWITCH. Their shop.ford.com site shows the massaging seats as STANDARD on the ST throughout. I spoke with a few people at the Ford Customer Relationship Center the NM dealership directed me too and two female agents were halfwits and one male was abusive to me telling me it was all my fault (for believing the Explorer ST info on their own site) before forwarding me to their BUY BACK PROGRAM. That next male agent was very kind and astute but said that BBP program was for lemons, NOT for Ford lies. He suggested I write a letter to the

with my complaint. Snail mail. I envision a room like where the Holy Grail was put in Raiders of the Lost Ark. I took screenshots of their sales website and will be making a consumer complaint to my state's Attorney Generals Office. Yes, there is such a thing as BUYER BEWARE, but when a company states an item is part of the thing they are selling, they are liable to include it.
You can go to shop.ford.com and see the lies for yourself for the 2025 Explorer ST and I share some of them here.
PLEASE share this fraud far and wide so everyone is forewarned.
