Sliding arm rest

Is it me or does anyone else think that the center arm rest should slide forward. I am 5 '9 & for the life of me I can't understand why they designed this thing so far back & non moveable. I came from a 2011 edge & that arm rest was to the top of my wrist. Does anyone know of an aftermarket kit you can buy to modify it to slide? Thank you in advance.

I disagree. Every car that I've had it, I've hated with it would slide forward when I did not intend to do so. Then again, I just rest my elbow and sound like you prefer more.

Conversely, I’m 6’7” and need the seat to slide back more. No vehicle is a perfect fit for everyone.

I agree I guess I was spoiled with my edge.
