SPD Install completed last night and according to my Mechanic, no CEL.

He did say there was a fitment issue from the stock downpipes being threaded and the SPD's NOT being threaded in the connection between the SPD's and Borla just not being designed with each other in mind. He had to fabricate/modify/lubricate the fitting to get it flush and not rattle because of the tight fitment.

**Anyone else have this issue??**

Also he said there's a little noise (barely noticeable - have to really strain to hear it with windows up) coming from the flex-pipe on a cold start for 2 seconds , then it goes away.

Also in between 4th and 6th gear when you feather the throttle between 2,000 - 3,000 RPM's at 50- 70 mph a barely audible noise.

*Hoping the tune may address the noise and will mention to Adam @ZFGracing when we work on the next tune.

Waiting for XPel and Ceramic Coating to get done before I pick it up and will update the thread when hopefully there is some improvement/development.

I have a similar issue with rattling. I’ve located one of two problematic areas. The flex pipe rattles at start up, pretty violently. I haven’t located second source yet. I did put some Cobb poly exhaust bushing I have from my focus. Seems to help a bit.

Put hose clamps on the expansion joints. That’s Fords fix.

Yup @UNBROKEN is correct

@Yungty718 You can either go to the dealership and spend/lose the time to have them do the work and have Ford pay for the parts/labor...or order the 3.5" Worm Gear Clamps for the Flex Pipe and DIY.

I have an appointment with Ford next Thursday to do it because my dealer actually has them in stock.

Also have a couple nit-picky items, like Rear Camera "Blues-Out" 1 out of 20 times....which the Parts are on backorder until November and also won't "officially be a recall until November" according to the Service Tech. So just getting it on record and basically getting in line to Pre-order the Rear Camera.

I'll tell you the other small items on Sunday at the Bear Mountain Meet-Up!

Great news! Noticeable difference in sound, deepness in tone? Can't wait to hear them in person.

Hell yeah way deep sound more aggressive but subtle while driving calmly not really pushing past 2500 rpm definitely a nice lil pop pop once it downshifts more so in sport than in normal but not an obnoxious one. Well worth it! The headache my shop had tho whew! Had told them the size e torx needed but it still was hell fishing those bolts !

Hey man, I remember you're from metro Detroit. Did you put downpipes on yours?

Yep, today. They were a huge bitch to get on. We dropped the trans and revived heat Shields to get them on. (My buddy did most the work).

Did you end up getting an exhaust for it? I think you were waiting for T RD like I was.

Wait, you had to drop your transmission to put on the downpipes?

Yes, we couldn’t get a full purchase on the nuts and they were torqued in like Zuess himself put them on
