I think it's just this year that's closed. Have you tried calling them about next year?
Online registration is currently closed for the 2020 season. Call 435-27-SPEED for 2021 calendar details.

They said that registration for 2021 will open up sometime after the 1st of the year when I called last week...

Just got an email back today. Explorer ST Experience Classes will start in may 2021 for Utah at least. Registration starts next week they said

I get to go twice! I bought a ST in April and my brother bought one in November. I'm going to take him as my guest to Asheville and he'll take me as his guest to Park City! Can't wait to see how this goes.

I bought my wife an X5 4.0 M-Sport and they offer a similar experience for us as well.

Perhaps on a separate thread but can you comment on your BMW X5 and its driving dynamics and ride compared to the ST?

My wife and I did Ashville on 9/30/20 and we loved it. Went down a day earlier and did some tourist stuff like seeing the five waterfalls in the area. The Biltmore tour was great. Going back sometime this year (2021). The Ford team and performance event was great and had a lot of fun. This a must do if at all possible.

I will be happy to do so. Another friend of mine bought his wife a Mercedes GLC63 which, you guessed it, comes with a similar experience. He wasn't aware of this so I did the research (about 10 seconds worth) and informed him of it and am hoping to be rewarded with his guest pass
