We have the ford first aid kits in both cars, in storage area in back
Plus a second one right behind seat in a soft sided thing with tissues, towel, jacket, dog leash, poop bags, etc. It's worse than traveling with kids
I'm on blood thinners for life too. Without them, I think I could cut an arm off and not bleed. I have clotting powder and bandages in all of my vehicles, at home, and bug out medical bag.
Do you have a stockpile or plan for obtaining blood thinners should pharmacies not be available? I don't, but after reading your post I'm going to look into them. I just spent a week in the ICU due to clots, so I'd be screwed if pharmacies were offline.
Good on you! I was allowed to go off them if I wanted to. I asked my cardiologist if he were my heart, what would he prefer. He started with “well we did do quite a bit of work”. Enough for me to deal with the bruising and risk.
I do have a couple months of thinners. Just built up a supply over the years from the weeks I had to go off for oral surgery or shoulder surgery.
