Hey,
I had the best experience today at one of my local wheel/tire/suspension shops. I would like to put a word out to anyone who needs work done on their Explorers/STs.
Name of the Shop: Koi Werks
Location: Linden, NJ (611 Pennsylvania avenue)
Owner: Keith
Master mechanic: Dave
Over the last 2 days I was turned down for alignment at Mavis and Firestone. Both shops said that there are no adjustments in the rear for camber (not true) and would not listen to me at all. Firestone ended up charging me $50 bay fee for lifting my ST. Owner of the BimmerHub (westfield) recommended Koi Works and said that they take all of their alignment jobs to them. I called Keith at Koi and he took me right in. Dave, his master mechanic, got it on alignment lift and tackled the job in under 30 min. He did have to fight rear bolts a little bit to get them to move. He got it aligned to as close to factory as possible and asked me if I want some custom settings. I trusted his expertise and let him set it up his way. It made a huge difference. I notice it the most at highway speeds because it tracks straight way better than factory settings.
These guys can also install lowering springs and other suspension components.
