Sync 3 and Apple Car play

Good morning-(ish) all,
Happy Presidents Day. Silly question but I figured this is the best place to get a decent answer. 2021 ST, with B&O sound system. I am curious if I can play music or audiobooks or connect to Apple Car Play wirelessly via bluetooth or if it needs to be plugged in? It works great plugged in, and my phone connects just fine via bluetooth, but I can only make and receive calls, not music or nav functions. If this has been covered elsewhere, I apologize, my search wasn't coming up with anything.

Carplay is wired. That said, many use the Carplay wireless dongles to connect to Carplay wirelessly with mixed results.
