Sync Issue with Carplay only showing "Prompt" volume

There is a problem I experienced using CarPlay where the audio knob would only turn up the "Prompt" volume and not the audio volume. After some research I found out Waze was causing the issue. Deleting it fixed it for me and there were a lot of reviews on the store of it bugging out the Ford Sync systems. There is a way to fix it without deleting it but I don't remember, I'll link the thread here:

You up to date on the iOS (incl. carplay) and Waze? I thought this was fixed a month or two ago.
