People have commented that we have a hands free tailgate. How do we activate it?

All I do is run my foot in and out under the left side of bumper.
Left to right foot sweep will not activate it.

I can also use the keep for . Which isn't really hands free.

Owners guide pgs 76-77, excerpt here:
Switching the Power Liftgate On
or Off
You can switch the power liftgate on or off
through the vehicle settings on your
touchscreen.
When switched off, the liftgate only
unlatches and will not power open or close.
Hands-Free Feature (If Equipped)
Make sure you have the passive key within
3 ft (1 m) of the liftgate.
1. Stand behind your vehicle, and face the
liftgate.
2. Move your foot, in a single-kick motion,
without pausing, under and away... (see manual for rest)

Dang I didn't know you could turn on and off the power lift gate.
I guess mine came turned on.

I've only had mine 2 weeks :sneaky:

Thanks

You can turn it off but it turns it off completely, that is you cannot even open it with the buttons. I keep it turned off most of the time since my garage is small and I don't want to accidentally activate it by walking behind it and have the liftgate hitting the garage door.

I gotcha, it just totally disables the power lift.

I love the power lift gate , my garage is big, so no worry there.

I cannot get my liftgate to work by either kicking or trying to press the button on the outside (doors are unlocked). I can only seem to get my liftgate to open with the remote or from the button on the dash. HELP!
And I DO have the hands free selected. I have even unselected it, restarted the truck and selected it and nothing.

Maybe a bad switch, it would be simple for the dealer to replace it once they get it ordered.
