@ron@whooshmotorsports I'm a little sad that it's almost October and I haven't heard a peep about the kits shipping yet.

understand the frustration
Thermal literally just finished our run of 50 Fiesta ST exhausts yeaterday. They are now finishing up the Explorer exhausts
304 stainless tubing supply delays is truly the ONLY reason all of our Fiesta, Explorer, and Focus kits have not shipped yet
SPD is experieincing the same thing, we're 2 weeks past their ship dates for our down pipe orders as well.
We apreciate everyone's patience while these parts are finished up and shipped

This supply chain is nationwide for almost all products. Ask yourself why. All I can say is it is worth the wait!

Thanks for the reply. Just FYI, a quick email or even a blurb on the front page of your website to keep your customers informed of delays goes a long way.

Anyone get the shipping notification from Thermal yet? I haven’t. I talked to Thermal last week and they said the tips were out to powder coat and the exhausts would ship this week.

Mine was shipped and I just received all 3 big boxes yesterday (I got the midpipes as well). I got the UPS shipping notice like a week before they actually shipped it.

Good news they are shipping them! Wish the communication was a little better. If I don't see the ship notification today then I'll contact Thermal / Whoosh again.

@zdubyadubya your signature says you have borla, are you now moving to Thermal? If so do you mind sharing why? I'm leaning heavily toward the Thermal but do like the sound of the Borla so curious to see what made you switch and also from which borla?

lol. so basically don't do what i did. i spent more money than a custom hand-fabricated system would have run you but it was due to a series of events rather than any planning. i bought my ST in April of 2020. at that time the only aftermarket system available was Borla. i knew that sticking with 2.25" pipe wasn't going to get me any power gains but the stock noise was pathetic so something had to be done. this setup lasted until i did downpipes and they immediately blew out my mesh flex joints. i, like you, like the Borla sound the best out of whats available, so i ordered the thermal mid-pipe kit that came with vibrant woven flex joints. that mid-pipe kit is 2.5" so i then had an exhaust shop fit up 2.5" pipe wherever there was 2.25" previously before in the borla kit. at this point, i basically paid $1200 for 3 borla ATAK mufflers (one mid mount and two in the back) as thats all thats left from the original system, plus another $450 for the thermal mid kit, plus $600 for the stainless 2.5" piping and welding connecting everything together.

like i said. don't do what i did. the good news though is that i have a 2.5" deeper sounding Borla kit that has ZERO resonance problems without the need for resonators of any kind, AND have a kit that can handle more power than the stock turbos are capable of putting out. so i'm happy.

I kinda went down the same road and wish I had of custom built the exhaust from the dp's out.
I bought the Borla Atak thinking I`d be happy with the additional sound over stock - I wasn't overly impressed for more than a few months.
That led to removing the mid resonator and putting in a X-pipe - This is now more than enough sounds with drone which kinda sucks but I can bare it.
That led to the flex pipe couplings now vibrating ridiculously.
I have SPD down pipes going in on Monday with the stock flex pipes and know I`m in for a disaster.
I already ordered the new flex pipe couplings from Vibrant and hope they come in next week but still haven`t received the ship notificaiton.
So...if the dp`s go in before the flex pipe couplings are changed, what exactly will I be facing in terms of noise issue and anything else associated with down pipes on stock mesh flex pipe couplings..
I heard the down pipes, as you mentioned, will literally destroy the stock flex couplings and the sound is insanely bad.
I drive around now embarrassed tbh by the rattling noise I get with the exhaust and x-pipe I can`t imagine down pipes now lol.
I`ve been waiting so long I just want to get them on and run the risk with noise for hopefully no more than a week when the new mesh Vibrant ones come in.
What do you think since you`ve done it already?

Oh and cost wise.
I'm in Canada so the Borla Atak was around $1750 plus install which was $300.
The custom x-pipe was $450.
The 2 Vibrant flex couplings are $50 each.
Install for the 2 Vibrant couplings with welding and fitment is $200.
Down pipes were around $1300. Install is 4.5hrs x $150 per hour.
Yep..
Custom exhaust would have been way cheaper from what I've been told but I didn't know a whole lot as this is my first car with actual power and I thought an aftermarket exhaust would have been enough.

Thanks so much for your info guys! I'm not planning much more than a whipple intecooler, catback and tune. I haven't heard the thermal in person obviously but everyone on here raves about the sound so I feel confident that I'll like it too. It's so hard to tell the actual sound from the videos that are available, plus in every video they just mash the gas which to me doesn't tell the true feel of an exhaust. I'd much rather hear the exhaust under normal driving conditions but from outside the vehicle.

all Thermal exhaust order have shipped
there were a few hiccups with labels being made a week ago that still needed packed up and shipped which took a few days

there are about 18 Thermal exhausts left in stock from this production run
next batch won't be produced until 2022 and the price will be increased from the pre-order pricing we have held firm since the beginning of 2021

So is the price going to be at the 1,994 list price on the site then? I don't even have my ST yet hah, hard to buy now but might have to think about it.

nothing wrong with buying the baby's bed before the baby comes along!

Seriously though, price increases are coming to everything. Fuel, transport, and material prices are all going up. If you are getting a ST and want an exhaust I would jump on this deal now while he has a few in stock. I wouldn't be surprised to see 15 to 20% bump. I'm NOT saying this is what it will be, just that is what I would expect. Who knows what will happen over the next few months, could be higher. Company I work for just had our 3rd price increase of the year and not one of the distributors I manage has complained. They are seeing it from everyone.
