Transmission Fluid Level Check

I am going to attempt tomorrow. Found some Lincoln Electric flame retardant welding sleeves that I can cover most of my hand and arm. Going to put a wet towel over the exhaust pipe and hope I don't drop the dip stick numerous times.

My dealership refused to check it by saying it is a sealed unit and cannot be checked. Gives me a lot of confidence in their ability.

Good luck! Some of these stealerships don't know as much as you do! I've lost faith in their abilities and what they charge for what they don't know.

The flame retardant glove might be overkill, and it will definitely impede your dexterity with the fiddly little dipstick..

Don't forget to set the vehicle up level, and get it fully warmed first, and run it through each shift range before checking and adjusting the level.

I used a piece of 1/4 brake line with the ends cut off, bent into a hook for adding fluid into the port effectively.
