So I just bought this ST and boy do I wish I did more research. Have had it less than a month and the trans started all the things everyone speaks about. Jerking, won’t shift beyond 7th on highway, kicking out of gear and having to reset everything, fluid smell, and on and on. Took it to ford. Diagnosed as needing new transmission. This will be the second trans in the vehicle. Not covered under warranty because the vehicle has 61,650 miles. Anyone have any suggestions on what to do? If I have to pay for this myself can a 10R80 be installed instead?
