The past couple of months or so, I've noticed at a stop when in gear, there has been considerable vibration felt through the steering wheel. This vibration is not felt when idling in park. As soon as I drive it seems to go away.

Today, I replaced the transmission mount. I noticed the design from my early build 2020 mount is slightly different--something to note if you are thinking about the aftermarket trans mount insert. The new mount is aftermarket though. Although the old mount looks intact, the rubber must have degraded enough that the inner metal body is much more moveable. Compared to the new mount, the old mount two thick rubber pieces above the inner metal body are more compressed--this is where the transmission sits on top of. I am happy to report that so far, the vibration is gone. Something to add to the maintenance list if your Explorer has some miles on it (I'm at 99k mi).

Edit: I found the reason for the differences in mounts. Apparently there are 3 different mounts for the Explorer. The ST/PIU mount should look like the old one on the right. The one I bought apparently is for an Aviator after I relooked at the the listing. There is also a third variation with 3 holes at the top instead of 4 for the base 4 banger.
