I'm not sure if this is trouble or just something I've never heard before because of blasting Van Halen or Rush. I have a 2021 with no blow-off valve, when I accelerate moderately hard and lift off the gas suddenly I get a turbo flutter sound. Think mid-80's Group B rally car or Audi IMSA GTO from the late 80's. Love the sound but not sure it should be doing that. Does anyone else have that happen? Thanks!

Agree. Under same conditions mine has a blow off sound that sounds really neat, but is odd due to now BOV on these years.

*Technically* you are bound to hear something. Those earlier years have a "bypass", or "recirculation" valve.
A BOV vents all the air outside the system and is very loud.
The bypass valve *also* lets pressurized air rush by, just back into the system.

Either way, pressurized air gets fired off somewhere, just one is more muffled than the other.

Pretty sure it's normal.

Agree that it has to be let off somewhere. It has been theorized that since the throttle body is electronically controlled that it stayed open slightly to let the excess pressure flow through.

It guaranteed is normal but I think @SeanColin and I just want to know what it is.
Correct, I was just checking if it's normal. Seems like it is. Thanks everyone!
