Prep work for the exhaust. It looks long but it’s the same overall length as the oem muffler and tips I added. 2FBAE90B-21AE-4701-B0B8-74E1F083D55A.jpeg

Just curious, do/did you ever hear the front end rattle? I am wondering if lowering the vehicle or changing out the sway bar end links would help eliminate/reduce the noise.

Mine is in the shop right now and they will be changing one of the front struts which i am not expecting to do much after reading the massive thread on the explorer forums.

Exhaust done. Sounds great and I’ll have clips today. Zero drone but I can hear it on the highway...I think maybe that’s just how an SUV is with the tip exit just below the lift gate. I think some sound treatments in the lift gate and spare tire well will knock most of it out. I wanted deep and nice...not raspy and loud. I’ll get WOT vid in a bit.

I tried to get a decent launch but it shook the tires on the 1-2 shift.

Teaching myself how to wrap stuff. I used transparent Vvivid air release film and knifeless tape to wrap the top of the heads to hide the chrome. I think it’s too dark so I’m gonna order a lighter smoke. It’s not perfect but I like figuring things out so maybe the next shot will be better...

Looks good to me. Maybe in person it looks too dark? But these pictures look great.

CLD and a CCF/MLV sandwich. Should have all 4 doors done by New Years. I went 100% with the CLD since I’m trying to target some exhaust noise...figure overkill would be ok here. I like the Dynapad too...super easy to work with. I still have to tape the joints but I got it in the rear floor and lift gate pretty good I guess. She’s gonna be Rolls Royce quiet when I’m done.

So after my new mufflers burned in I wound up with a touch of drone...about 187hz at 2000rpm. A little math, a little welding and bam...a pair of 1/4 wave resonators added and the drone is dead.

Reworked the upper headlight tint with a lighter version. I like it much better...you can still see the details inside the lights instead of looking like paint. Last pic is the old dark tint.

I like the lighter tint better. Does it cut down on output much?

There’s no tint over the actual bulbs. I only tinted the top chrome portion.
