Do you have the part numbers for the smooth dash parts. I dislike the fake carbon as well.
I don’t even know what these were from. I found them on eBay for about $300. New is over $500. 0B4A5A19-C983-4BA2-9678-448273B7B497.jpeg

Looks good Richard! I was planning on smoothing and wrapping those panels to match the silver console. If I can find the same smooth panels that'll save me some work.

You said you got the glossy radio plate from the newer Explorers. Do you have that part number?

Kinda weird…it’s listed not as piano black but just for 21-22 ST’s…which is where the changeover happened.

Looks nice. I detailed mine this week in preparation for the snow/winter that is right around the corner. Always feels nice to have it cleaned up or for that matter to have a fresh oil change. ;)

For others who see Rich's mod and want to do similar, a good vinyl will still stick to the fake carbon "non-smooth" finish as well with good prep. This is going on 2 years and still looks perfect and like the day I wrapped it.

D pillar covers from Josh at The OCD Plug and underhood caps from Ron at Whoosh Motorsports. Gonna strip the ano off the caps and do a brushed finish. 86E6FF9E-107B-47CC-AAF7-AB6A7598C09E.jpeg

EZ Off and a quick Scotchbrite. One more pass with 600 grit and they’ll look awesome. CB3698C6-BA5F-4199-B854-62AD333952A1.jpeg

Woohoo, glad Josh got the D-pillar covers! Gotta order now. Are these new or was I just not paying attention?

Love the piano black finish on the radio (hate how our 2020s have the flat dull cheap plastic look) and wrapping the fake carbon pieces to match looks very nice! (y)
- Will you be looking to do the same with the dull black trim on the doors?
- What kind of dash cover is that? It looks like a grey perforated material finish? Is it stuck on or just sits there to help with sound deadening?

The Versus caps have a great fit and of course look great in any color to clean up the engine bay.

No plans to do the doors. Just wanted to tie the dash to the rear console.
And I can’t remember what brand mat that is…just that it’s Sedona Suede material in black. It’s only there to help with reflections for the audio and even that’s a stretch.

Got tired of the ugly coolant tank so I shot Brett at FenFab a message and got this thing on the way. F427652F-EFC0-4549-AFB0-9EE048BFD03E.jpeg

I thought I read there were fitment issues with the AFE intake? Is this a revised design?

The coolant recovery tank is definitely ugly! That new one should look sharp installed.
