Mr. Unbroken, did you replace the silver surround on the steering wheel with the gloss black from 2021+? I saw that you replaced the matte black with silver a long time ago.
is it hard to remove? I’d like to do the gloss

I didn’t but I’ve had the wheel apart a few times to recover it. The trim is super easy to get off once the wheel is off so swapping it would also be easy.

Winter rebuild things are showing up.
I had Acoustic Elegance build these subs for me. They’re IB15AU’s and I’ll be cutting the tire well out to vent them outside the car.
Also swapping amps to a pair of Mosconi Pro 5/30’s to have one amp per side of the car. Should make for a good time. IMG_5289.jpeg IMG_5261.jpeg

Killer upgrade! What’s the purpose of venting outside the car?

They will be in an infinite baffle configuration like my midbass are. There is no enclosure.

Ok. I think we used to call them “free air” woofers or is that something completely different?

Similar for sure but not the same. IB will get extremely low on very low power and I’m after that single digit response. lol

I needed more adjustment range than the fixed length FenFab toe links give…so these are from Steeda are going on tonight.

Unbroken, I'm about to order Steeda toe links is it worth it to get adjustable vs non? I will be lowered

Previously I would have said just get non adjustable but honestly if you’re spending the money you might as well get the adjustable ones. They do make setting toe really easy.

A little sneak peek at what’s coming. The pair of amps will float over the pair of 15’s…and that’s all you’ll see. No wires, no other equipment…nothing but a surgically clean minimalist install. AC827403-A86F-4829-BE21-E5D22D749E44.jpeg

That's going to be amazing! It's going to make your hair stand up, unless you're like me and have none.

I guess this refresh/update is gonna be more involved than I planned.
Parts ordered or on the shelf:
Aviator screen
Dariusz Kedzior mount
10” to 8” conversion parts
Screen will be disassembled and a custom bezel fabricated. I refuse to use that ugly 3D printed bottom piece.
JXB dual inserts.
Houston Speed Freaks skid plate
PPE aluminum trans pan
ST-Line grille
Black Timberline Ford oval
New lower front bumper valence
New hood vent inserts
Thermal R&D 3” w/polished tips
2X Vibrant Ultra Quiet resonators
New front fender liners
European ST headlights
New McGard lug nuts
Wheels will be stripped for fresh powdercoat
New Atturo AZ850 305/35/22’s
Front bumper and hood will get fresh paint
That doesn’t include the audio upgrades or the new custom 29” Gary Turner BMX frame I’m having built….but I think that’s it.

Please oh please hook up the forum with a way to buy the custom bezel for the Aviator screen, once you figure that out. I know that it'll look factory
Gonna have my friend that does high end audio installs work that one out. I imagine some laser cut black acrylic will be used but I’m gonna give him free rein to work it out.

Are you using a differential brace or just the JBX inserts?

I have a 4 bolt car. I do have an ID Speed brace on but only because I tested them for the owner.

I've got an ID Speed brace yet to install on my 2023 ST. Did you notice any rear brace related road noise (like Steeda) after the ID Speed brace install?
