Under Hood Light

Anyone else find it odd that there is no light under the hood? Seems like this would be standard in case you broke down at night. I have a headlamp in my vehicles but would be nice to have a light for quick engine checks. We have Martens here in Germany so I have to routinely check under the hood to make sure they aren’t chewing my wires. Already got my Honda Odyssey. That was fun.

I've not seen a car with an under-hood light in decades. Dodge trucks have it as an option, but I know of none that have it.

the last car i owned that had one was my 1999 wrangler, my past 3 vehicles havent.
