I first noticed this about a month ago but didn't think much of it. It's getting worse though. What's happening is, whenever I'm slowing down to stop, I get a driveline vibration at about 35-40 mph until I get to around like 20 mph. It doesn't happen on acceleration, only when deccelerating. It feels like a driveshaft out of balance but that would cause vibrations all the time. I don't feel it in the steering wheel, I feel it in the seat of my pants mostly. My initial though is a carrier bearing going bad, but I think that would also happen all the time. I have searched here and on another forum but didn't find anything similar. Has anyone else ever had this issue or have an idea what it might be?

I’m having a similar issue along with resonating low bass droning type sound as the vehicle slows down in RPM’s. Between 1500 and 1000 RPM. Ford is saying it’s exhaust related. Hard to believe a new vehicle with 48,000 miles needs full exhaust replacement.

The exhaust flex pipe probably broke. Have them check it out, warranty item.

Have you tried noticing if it happens in different gears? Try going into manual shift mode and try to reproduce in different gears, also try in neutral with a coast. Basically see if it is drivetrain or body causing it.

I tried a few different things. If I let off the gas at 50 mph it starts vibrating right around 47 mph. If I switch to neutral, the vibration stops. I start at 50 again and switch to neutral and no vibration. There’s no vibration when I’m accelerating.

Sounds suspicious in the driveline if switching into neutral stops it. May need a chassis ears session with a mechanic. Could be something like the prop shaft bearing.

Since you recently had your tranny replaced, would look at the drivetrain. In fact, let the dealer diagnose this.

I changed the oil and while it was on the lift I went over the whole drivetrain and didn’t see or feel anything abnormal. It’s been over a year since replacing the transmission. There’s no way I’m taking it back to that dealer! There is another dealership about 40 minutes away that I will try. Just have to check with the ESP to see if I can take it to any Ford shop or if I have to take it back to where I purchased it. I have a Ford Premium Care ESP.

You should be able to go to any Ford or Lincoln dealer.
But a cheap fix for you is don't ever slow down. [wrenchin]

LOL! This isn’t the jokes forum.

I’m going to take it in today and see what they say.

Same issue with a 2.3L XLT. 2022. Have not tried in neutral yet. Hoping to hear of a solution on yours.

I took a tech for a ride but he insisted he couldn’t feel it. Then the service manger asked to drive it so we went for a ride. First thing he noticed was the gear indication on the dash and said, “I see it’s tuned”. I was honest with him and said, “Yes, it’s tuned”. He just laughed and said, “I won’t tell if you don’t”. He did say how Ford can tell it’s tuned if they look for it. He was able to feel the vibration and duplicate it a couple times though. He thinks it normal but said they would take it in and look at the drivetrain if I wanted. I did set up an appointment but I’m wondering if I should wait to see if it gets worse. I don’t want to pay for them to just tell me they didn’t find anything.

Haven't tried dropping to N with this but thought I was just being nit-picky with this coming up for me. Curious what you get back cause my dealer did everything but look at the car when I went in last to see if I was crazy.
