Hello All,

I'm very familiar with the 3.5l ecoboost, my whole family has them either as Explorer Sports or Police interceptor sedans, and I just lost my 2015 Tuarus Twin Turbo due to a drunk driver but everyone was ok. I just purchased a 2021 Explorer Interceptor 3.0 Twin turbo and its absolutely fun to drive. I'm looking forward to see how the fleet ages and hopefully our engines are reliable. I am a mechanical engineer and I work on Semiconductor manufacturing equipment all over North and South Americas. I've been a car nut since my teens and my first love was the Saab 99 Turbo sold in 1978 and so many others over the years of modifying them etc. My Taurus had the Gearhead Tune, plugs, and thermostat and MSD coils and Intercooler. I ran it for 55k miles no issues and fun! I hope the new explorer is as great as I think it will be. Good to be here!

Greetings from north Alabama. Picked up a '23 with 16,000 miles on it 3 weeks ago. Really enjoying the vehicle so far, installed the 3" Thermal exhaust earlier this week and love the sound.

Hello all, just picked up a '21 one owner with 40k miles in silver. I come from a Jeep Gladiator Rubicon so the road noise reduction alone is amazing. Not much technology in the Jeep, so needless to say I am a bit overwhelmed with this thing. As far as driving I am in upstate NY and it has been snowy since delivery. Nothing major, just a bunch of 2-3" storms. Car is filthy!!!
Question; Looking for a "ST" shirt, would love to find a black one with a red ST and that is it, anything I see is more for the Focus ST??

Probably will not do any mods, but the vehicle is fun to drive, can't wait for clear roads!!

Welcome to the forum! You could always bring a plain black shirt to a screen print or an embroidery shop. There is a post where someone took a center console cover in and had ST embroidered on it. The two mods you should invest in are upgrading the intercooler and installing an oil catch can. The OEM intercooler is very small! Either way, enjoy her!

The truck came from Granger but I can also do X plan locally (maybe). Anyhow being an informed consumer is what it is all about so here I am getting informed!

Howdy and Welcome Bob. It was all a "numbers" game for me. I started my search going out 500 miles from Sacramento looking at the various Dealer websites. I did NOT have a trade in. Several dealers in the 500 mile radius were selling ST's $3,000 to $5,000 above MSRP at the time.
The "X" plan was the way to go for me on Dealer ordered, inbound vehicles which I had my pick of. That "X-Plan" discount of approx $2,100 off MSRP PLUS the Dealer gave me $1,500 "New Customer Cash Incentive" rebate made it work without any nickel and dime haggling. All of my add-ons (wheel locks, floor mats, back deck cover, etc) were at dealer cost also. Best wishes in our search

Interested in hearing your comments on why you chose the Thermal R&D Exhaust over the other 49 examples on the market now.

I assume the Steeda Lowering Springs would be similar to the Ford Perf. ones Shelby American used on my Shelby GTE's. They dropped the stock donor Mustangs down 1.5 inches (when installed front and rear).
