Howdy!

Purchased my 2025 Rapid Red ST two days ago, and I'm loving it. Looking forward to participating in this forum. Always been a Ford guy. Owned 4 Mustangs, a 69 Torino GT, 2 Pintos, a Fairmont Futura, 2 Rangers, 3 F-150s, and an F-250, and now an Explorer ST.

Welcome Aboard!!

Looks like you love red as much as I do. LOL, LOL!!

Also, did you purposely get it WITHOUT the sunroof and upgraded B&O system? Mine was hard to locate here in CA so I bought the first one I found without both upgrades (I told the Dealer I would take any color except black). Congrats on a great choice, you will love it.

Thank you. Yes I didn't want the sunroof. I've had 3 vehicles which had them, and never used them, so I couldn't justify spending $3k on something I wouldn't use. I'm half deaf, so I didn't need the upgraded sound system as well. I traded my 2020 F-150, which was also Rapid Red. The color also matches my Corvette. ;)

Rky Mtn ST: Very impressive; nice color coordination!!!

Have you heard about the Ford Perf "ST SUV Driving Experience" for ST owners?

It is a special treat for any new ST owner: https://fordauthority.com/2025/03/f...-registration-opens-for-2025/#google_vignette

They are held in/about Park City, Utah (near Salt Lake City) and in Asheville, NC (near Charlotte). We live in Sacramento area so the logical one for us is Utah. Unfortunately, due to the weather, the 2025 ST SUV Experience dates for Utah are currently limited to June and July due to the mass accumulation of snow (currently over 200 inches there). The Ashville location has booking dates from late March all the way into September 2025. Ford covers the entire event (welcome dinner, your hotel that night, breakfast and lunch in addition to the classes and driving time) you just have to get yourself and your escort there.

We are scheduled for the June 9-10 Experience. I wanted to drive mine there but our hectic schedules did not cooperate time wise. In any event, they provide you with their ST's for you to drive on the courses.

I heard of it. GM has a similar program for buyers of new Corvettes. It's held at the Ron Fellow Performance Driving School in Pahrump, NV. I've been to that one twice. https://www.springmountainmotorsports.com/driving-school/8th-gen-corvette-owners-school
Rky Mtn ST:
Yes, that Ron Fellows School in Pahrump was pretty koooool!!. In my former Shelby GTE days, Shelby American Las Vegas would "rent the entire facility" for our track days as part of the yearly "SHELBY BASH" to celebrate all things SHELBY. Would love to see ya at the ST SUV Experience in Utah!!

Look at it this way, all that extra glass and moonroof motors, plus the extra speakers, are just adding weight. I also passed on the moonroof, we're faster! ;)

Hi all. Rick Pellicciotti, Arlington, TN. Just traded my 2014 Flex for a 25 Explorer ST-Line w/Street Pack. Are "ST-Line" owners welcome or is it just for "ST"?

After using this site for the bulk of my research, I finally purchased a new ST earlier this month. I'll be putting about 1800-2000 miles a month on the thing, so I'm rapidly becoming acquainted with what I affectionately refer to as the "exploder". I want to thank everyone for the wealth of information and references you provide! I would have never been able to understand the various options, packages, and features without what I learned here. So now, I am happy to join the forum.

I recently retired from the Coast Guard and have started my new career as an EMS helicopter pilot. I live in southern Oregon with my wife and two boys.

The kind welcomes are much appreciated! That goes a long way to reinforce the cool culture I've seen on this site. I'll admit it's entertaining to watch someone get flamed on a forum every once in a while, and calling out clear BS is valid, but if it's done for the pure sake of entertainment it tends to destroy what would otherwise be a good place to share information and learn.
