2023 Ford Explorer ST
Hello - Todd Nafus from the Midwest (Kansas City area). Purchased a 2023 Ford Explorer ST all black. Drove three hours south to pick her up. We are starting with the easy upgrades of lugnuts (REALLY FORD $55 for five?). I have really appreciated the information learned on this site. We are going with TuffSkinz to add lettering to the Liftgate & Rocker Panel - Black with Race Red border.

Currently, I am looking at Lethal Performace vs. S&B for a Cold Air Intake.

Again, thank you for the incredible amount of information out there for the new people
Welcome Todd and congratulations!!

Welcome to the forum! Stay away from the Ford lug nuts! Go with McGard. Ford’s don’t last and are know to swell. I run the S&B intake but if I had to do it again I would go with the FenFab V2.

"BrooseDaMoose": I wanted to add to your comment "Stay away from the Ford lug nuts! Go with McGard". SHELBY AMERICAN, Las Vegas installs McGards on their Shelby Conversions, BOTH of my SHELBY GTE's came with the McGard replacements for the stock Ford lug nuts.

Just replaced a 2016 Toyota Highlander that was totaled with a 2025 ST. I had no idea anyone made a 3 row SUV that was this much fun to drive. This forum has already helped me with the map view problem. Thanks everyone.

PS: I swear some people slow down when I come up behind them. I wonder why?

My 2013 Escape had problems with the lug nuts. I replaced them with solid lug nuts I got at NAPA.

Welcome Aboard.

Gorgeous Vehicle!! We have had (4) separate but unique Mustangs since 2010. My Wife refers to our 2025 Rapid Red ST as a "Grown Up Mustang" for it's overall performance and handling. YOU made a great choice.

New guy. 2nd Explorer, 1st ST. Coming out of a 22 Timberline into a 25 ST. The ride is so different. Still getting used to the difference in the feel of the seats but loving the connection to the road. First time my little nephew rode with me and I stomped on it a little bit: "put the pedal to the metal!" rang out from the back seat.

Welcome Aboard.

I can identify with your story. The very first time I got on it a little was taking a long freeway on-ramp. I forgot to tell my Very Lovely what I was going to do; she screamed so loud and I slowed back at 4,000 RPM while still in "break-in" mode. Tremendous acceleration!!!
