Bumped a pole in a parking lot. No big deal, could have been me. What says you on the repair cost? Thinking of paying out of pocket instead of insurance. IMG_0331.jpg IMG_0333.jpg IMG_0335.jpg

That would bugggg me to no end
Our st is my wifes, so it must be fixed
I would file the claim
In my case that's easily over 500 deductible
And ask since it was a parking lot pole, how they look at it as a ding for claims and rates

I just paid $1,000 to have the lower bumper and a trim piece replaced from where my mom backed into me. It's gonna be at least $2-3K for that repair.

Probably looking at around $2k+ imo. Too bad it isn’t a paintless dent repair. I whacked my rear lift gate with a heavy piece of furniture I lost control of. Big dent in the crease below the window. Visited a PDR guy and $300 later you can’t see any evidence of my stupidity. I also cannot stand minor damage like that. It would bug me to no end.

My wife is pretty good with cars although she did give my ST a small touch of curb rash. Only about an inch. Fortunately a little sanding and touch up paint resolved that.

I don't know. My Explorer is no pavement Princess. Aside from that bumper paint splitting, doesn't look too bad.

Unfortunately, that’s the bumper that split. The trim above the exhaust also cracked. I popped the cover back in by the taillight.
