I haven't seen many vehicles lifted from the pinch weld without a slotted rubber block or slotted lift head on the jack (like the factory jack in with the spare tire) that doesn't bend or f'-up the pinch weld. I know this first hand.
Tire shops - Why anyone needs to do this at this pont in time is beyond me since pinch weld jack points aren't new, but, it seems more times than not, you need to school your tire shop on how to lift your vehicle with pinch welds. They F' them up A LOT. That's my own personal experience as well as quite a few other people I know. I'm sure plenty of people on here can attest to that same thing from their own tire shop experiences.
