I have running boards that secure to the same pinch weld seam. Will the Jack Pads work?
No. The jack pads go around the pinch weld seam so the running boards would be in the way. You may be able to get creative and notch out the running boards.

How many come per order? Not sure if I'm missing the quantity listing in the Amazon link you provided. The title description leads me to believe that it's $45 per jack block but in the product description they show (4).

Four came in the box for the 45$. They are half the price of the ZL1s.

Thank you. I just placed my order. I've been eyeing these for a while. I used one of my rubber pads with the groove in it with my jack on Friday on my ST and when I was done, the rubber was already splitting and it was brand new. Hopefully this solves that issue and I won't need the rubber pad for anything now.

Here is the box the four came in along with the included little set screws. You can see how short they are. Once engaged, they are barely in the pad anymore and most of their bite is in the gap. The cap screws are much longer so you can get more bite in the pad housing.

Technically you don’t need anything at all. The car is designed to be lifted from the pinch weld in the marked area. All this add on stuff does is empty peoples wallets.

I like those. I have the carbon fiber side skirts so those won’t work for me. I use 4 of these when I need to break out the quick jack. Just don’t forget to pull them off before driving away

I typed in "quantity" in the search bar and nothing came up. Also, another person responded in a way that made it sound like they only received one. Anyway, sounds like all will be well now!

I haven't seen many vehicles lifted from the pinch weld without a slotted rubber block or slotted lift head on the jack (like the factory jack in with the spare tire) that doesn't bend or f'-up the pinch weld. I know this first hand.

Tire shops - Why anyone needs to do this at this pont in time is beyond me since pinch weld jack points aren't new, but, it seems more times than not, you need to school your tire shop on how to lift your vehicle with pinch welds. They F' them up A LOT. That's my own personal experience as well as quite a few other people I know. I'm sure plenty of people on here can attest to that same thing from their own tire shop experiences.

A shop screwing something up doesn’t make the lift point bad. Unibody cars have been designed to lift from the pinch weld since the dawn of unibody cars almost. Done correctly no damage will occur.

Exactly my point. I'm not dissing the pinch weld, I'm dissing people not caring about, or being ignorant, with our vehicles and causing preventable damage. Adding these block should help. If it's a waste of $45, so be it. You are the king of buying un-needed stuff for your ST!! I mean that playfully and not in a Richard kind of way! You have lots of cool mods. I have a HUGE lifted F-150 with more money in the mods than the cost of the truck new. I know exactly how the modification game works!

Yes pinch weld jack points have been around forever. Unfortunately brainless techs seem to be plentiful. First trip to the dealer and they folded one of my jack points. No excuse imo for a dealer. Right after that I fixed it and bought those pinch weld plates. Every time I HAVE to use a shop I stick them to the pinch welds (magnetic) and point it out to the tech. Cheap insurance imo.

2025 Explorer ST
My 2025 is coming along. So far I have installed the Eibach lowering springs, Steeda Front and Rear sway bars with links, Steeda strut tower brace, Thermal R&D 3" Catback, removed the luggage racks, tinted the front door windows. 20241030_150638.jpg 20241030_152128.jpg
