Yesterday I installed the Mongoal dash cam adapter that ties into the rain sensor to provide power to the camera, which allowed me to do away with the cigarette plug adapter and easier to hide the wires from my red tiger dash cam. Took less than 5 mins and makes it look better without the wires in my way. Today I will be attempting to update my navigation maps. Tried using the download files from Ford but didn't work. So I shelled out the extra 40 bucks for a thumb drive with it preloaded. Fingers crossed it works. Or I will have a very expensive USB drive.packaging looks nice.

Installed glove box light today for my MY21. There wasn't a plug so I had to snag a power and ground.

****Update**** Finally got the Navigation maps updated, it was on version NA118 and now its on NA223. Had to do a factory reset of my infotainment system with a ford CRC tech. the soft module reset didn't help (holding the power button and right seek). Had one of the 3 CRC reps I spoke with over the last few day told me to do a full rest I would have saved having to buy the Thumb Drive and saved 50 buck. Installation took almost 2 hours to install even though Ford said should only take 660 mins. yeah right!!! I normally would not have updated the navigation but over the last few weeks I have used it a few times when my phone wasn't with me or I just didn't wanna dig it out of my pocket and plug it in for Android Auto. The maps gave me a few bad directions and thus I found out how severely they were out of date. Since I had such a long wait time I went ahead and cleaned the Interior of my car. Tomorrow I will give it a well deserved hand wash.

I got a little bit accomplished today. Installed a new set of NGK plugs, the subframe lockout kit & the PPE trans pan. Also serviced both diffs, transfer case & trans.

(Yesterday) Motorcraft front and rear wiper blades and a bottle of Chevron Fuel System Cleaner. Also replaced the rear muffler hanger that had turned into dust on the left side. I had ordered both hangers but oddly enough, the passenger side hanger was perfectly fine.

Is that to resolve an issue or just preventative maintenance?
Routine maintenance. Use it both vehicles at oil changes. Won’t clean intake valves on the Explorer but it will clean the injectors.

I ordered tires for the new BC Forged RZ39’s.
Went with 295/40/21 Continental Control Contact Sport SRS+. It’s a UHP all season that’s basically Discount Tire’s house brand DWS06. Wife and I are planning some late spring and late fall mountain area road trips so I wanted to try something that can handle some light snow if needed. IMG_6029.jpeg

More like what I did all week but here is a towing update -

I took my daughter to the Appalachian Mountains in West Virginia to dirt bike and ATV ride the mountains. Round trip was just under 900 miles. My fully loded trailer weight was 5,060 pounds and I'm sure the GCWR of my loaded 25' ST and the trailer were at the 10,800 lb. max. . It pulled everything like a champ and did very well through the steep mountains. The tow mode engine braking was the only thing I didn't like. It rev's the hell out of the engine and doesn't slow down a damn thing at the weight I was at and with the very steep mountain road declines. It was better to tow in normal mode to stop the engine braking and to use the paddle shifter to up shift whenever it tried revving out too much before finally going into the next gear. The trans temp always remained steady right where it should be on the color bar graph. The power to pull was great and the CV-Fab intercooler kept the Intake temp between 12-15 above ambient air temp. .

I finally received the FenFab V2 intake, so I installed it and the CVF hot side pipes today. The next mod is the RSA stage 1 transmission (currently being built), then its time to install the CRP stage 5 turbos, Nostrum big bore HPFP and Stage 3 injectors.

P3 gauge installed. Purchased from another forum member yesterday because the 2025 new interior changed up the vent design. Love the gauge, but the install was a bit of a pain in the ass. I hate anything that deals with trim.
