So how much flying does it take to get to this level?

Nobody really knows. They just call you up one day and invite you to Global Services. I averaged (pre-COVID) about 100K miles a year and some years over $50K in purchased tickets for business travel. I broke a million miles flown on a flight back from Tokyo in 2019...they brought me a cookie. lol
I also got lifetime Premier Gold status for that even if I don’t fly anymore.

Title says it all. I have to think long and hard about what I am going to post here. I would love to hear what you all have to say.
Can’t wait to hear yours....again....probably will be the longest post on record. And I think we’ve all seen your accomplishments 100 times anyway.

Being promoted to Captain of a 440 passenger Excursion Ship was a my greatest accomplishment, until I retired, and my daughter took over as Captain.

17 or so years ago, I thought becoming a father was my greatest accomplishment in life. Then as she began to grow and I had another child, it became evident that becoming a DAD was much more of an accomplishment. Striving to become a GREAT dad is my next goal as I watch them develop into responsible adults. Maybe when they've made it on their own, I can strive to be a good Grandpa.

Was Gold on both United and Singapore Air at one point. Gold on Emirates another time. Never could stick with one airline enough to get global. Now I go over a hill and see Pikes Peak everyday when go to downtown Denver. Think I do not miss all that travel! Well, sometimes....

Only problem is you have to fly United... LOL
The only thing that’s close to their Polaris business class is Emirates...and I can’t move around the states on Emirates too easily. lol
I just booked 4 flights for next week...one being a round trip for my wife to come hang in CA with me for a few days. I booked her an economy flight on points for free then called and had her bumped to First class coming and going also for free. The perks are there with Global Services for sure.

Getting accepted into medical school. Hardest thing i've ever done.
My wife hated patients so now she teaches med students...won’t be long and she’ll hate them too. lol
