not on the waiting list just in case this corona thing gets worse.. don’t want to commit yet, but i’ll more than likely just order it at the end of april when it’s available.. also thinking about installing it myself along with the vr2 and hopefully a cai if it’s available by then
I'm pretty handy but shit I've been procrastinating about installing my blacked out OEM front grill decal bc I'm to lazy to remove the entire front bumper.... Maybe I'll tackle it myself also and kill two birds with one stone (you've sorta inspired me & its not like I don't have the time during this quarantine). Then again at the end of the day the deciding factor for me will ultimately be what PBD can do for a reTune once it's installed. If they're willing to give me a break/discount on either the install of the intercooler or reTune I'll prob just have them do it.

I talked to whipple yesterday. Intercoolers are still on target to ship April 27th! I have a couple of customer orders in.

That front bumper removal looks to be a half day project just in itself, sheesh.

yeah i watched the video mostly to see the installation.. i would have never guessed it was so involved.. but consider it a bonding moment for you and your vehicle.

It’s all fun and games until you lose a screw or a push pin breaks lol.... best of luck to any and all that do it on there own. It’s certainly not impossible but Def. time consuming...

Does swapping the intercooler void the factory warranty?

I’m a 5 Star tune. The intercooler can wait a bit right? I’m not gonna over heat my engine or anything am I? It’s not like I’m racing the tracks or anything

Honestly the factory intercooler is pretty small for the amount of boost these factory turbos are pushing, I bet they get heat soaked during city driving, I’d like to see some testing done on that.

Patiently still waiting on Whipple's Intercooler.... I was told there's been a production delay (due to the virus) but that shipping should commence to vendors this week or next.

Would love to see someone do a detailed, pic heavy, install write-up. There are some vids floating on YouTube (@GDubzFL's ST is one of them it looks like) and another hard to hear video of a shadetree setup doing an install on a PI.

Doesn't look like removing the front wheels is necessary, other than perhaps help to remove the wheel trim? Other than that, it looks like it's just a ton of 7, 8, 10, &13 mm bolts, but having a general idea of disassembly/assembly steps and gotchas would be helpful.

I've got just north of 400 miles on my ST, so this would definitely be a winter project for me up in Iowa.

Should I wait to get a tune until after the intercooler'd be installed? Would a shop change a little more on a 91 octane tune with this installed?

Interesting and super impressive. Can't wait to see a what this will do in the 1/4.

I'd be curious to see a pump gas before/after.

$995 intercooler, $1500 fuel pump, $300 tune, $600 nGauge. That's not including labor for the mechanically uninclined.

Starting to get pricey to run e85...lol
Totally worth it if it gets in the 3 second 0-60 and 11’s in the quarter mile. If you had to purchase a power adder like a Procharger etc. your looking at $6000.00 plus
