What is the benefit of having this piece installed? Does it reduce wind noise or is it just to cover seeing some stuff under the car? You have to be at quite an extreme angle to see the rear sway bar - I'd love something that blocks the body of the muffler but I doubt this does that because of heat...

Could be a function of air flow, sound insulation or just looks.... who knows. To me, it was not worth going to the dealer (who may or may not comp it) and then dropping the car off. It's just not worth my time. I bought it from one of the discount Ford suppliers (Levittown Ford) and installed it myself in 15".

My salesman says the undercover came only with the Limited's and if I want it I will have to pay for it. Just checking if this is a true statement or not.

Now you got me so curious i will be stopping by the Ford dealer tomorrow the look into this. Seems odd it would be on the limited but not the platinum or ST versions, but who knows what goes thru the minds of the product managers :)

They ordered mine no questions asked along with the tow hook and strut mount cover, took over two months to come in.

Not trying to pry, just curious -
So did you just say 'hey this is missing from my ST, can you please order / install ?' and they said 'sure!' or was there some 'negotiation' about whether or not these are supposed to be installed from factory on 2020 models?
So the dealerships have been told it was deleted from the build lists so you may be able to argue your way into one...or you can just burn your Ford Pass points and get one that way and still not pay for it.

When I purchased mine I had a list of items to check prior to drive off. Rear deflector, fuel funnel and front tow bolt, amoung others. All had to be ordered. When they came in dealer installed. As sales guy and I were scavenging other models to find some of the stuff we came across a cargo net. He asked if I wanted it so I took it. About the only freebie I got for a 60k spend.

ha, mine came with the cargo net. it sucks! I used it for about a week then put it back in it's case and stored it away. maybe it'll be useful someday..

Survival tool. If you are ever on a lake that has Grass Carp you can use it as a net.
