Hello, I finally tuned my ST - Currently running ZFG 91 on 93 and fairly impressed. I haven't got the chance to put in a E30 mix yet to see if there is a seat of the pants gain. I went with 91 tune because 91 is a little easier to find than 93 and the stations closet to home are ONLY 87. Im trying to run 93 only. A station that isn't super inconvenient does have E85. I would assume the difference/gains between a 93 tune running 93 or E30 would be very minimal compared to a 91 tune running 93 or E30?

If I could do this over again I think I would have gone with goose tuned. Not that I'm not happy with ZFG but based upon what I have read here and on Facebook people are just as happy with Goose - and I could switch tunes much quicker. It's my wife's car and I'm not going to ask her to switch tunes when it takes a good 10 min. With goose my understanding is it doesn't take near as long and I could just tell m my wife to plug in the device, click a few buttons wait 1 min, then fuel up.

My question is: how much of a difference is there between my tune on E30 and a straight E50 tune? Dyno numbers don't tell me too much although interesting - I just want a seat of the pants change. I wouldn't get to play on E50 very often as its just too inconvenient but I guess the occasional fun might be worth it? CVFAB intercooler and FenFab V2 intake on the way. Thanks for any info.

E30 on 91 or 93 is a very noticeable gain over straight 91 or 93. E50 is a noticeable gain over E30.

These cars love ethanol, you’ll definitely notice a difference.

It does indeed take 1min to flash a tune.

It's exactly 4 button presses to do so, with the convenience of the Accessport.

Stock 351whp

Stage 1 (W/O Intercooler)
Stage 2 (W Intercooler)

Stage 1 91 - 445whp

Stage 1 93 - 460whp

Stage 1 E50 - 505whp

Stage 2 91 - 450whp

Stage 2 93 - 464whp

Stage 2 E50 - 530whp

These numbers come from GooseTuned. Keep in mind that dyno numbers can vary depending on the environment, ethanol content in the fuel, etc.
The 91, 93, and E30 tunes really make a noticeable difference. Stock, you’re usually in the 13.8 ~ 13.5 range, but with a tune for those fuels, depending on the weather, you can comfortably run in the 12.8 ~ 11.8 range while staying conservative—many have even run lower.
E50 tunes can run from low 12s to mid-11s without issues. It all depends on the mods, weather, etc.

91 to 93 isn't gonna be a big difference but 93 to anything Ethanol if tuned is gonna be a def noticeable difference. Almost everyone that goes e50 says they have a hard time going back to even a 93 tune.

I'm envious of people with ethanol availability, zero around me. Would love to try it!

There is a couple tenth difference between 91 and 93. Not a big difference but it's slightly noticeable.

Agreed. Literally none in my half of the state.
