Does anybody know of any reputable shops in the Phoenix area that can install the aftermarket intercoolers? I called a few repair shops today and none of them said they would swap out the intercooler, even though they had engine repair stuff listed under what they do and it seems like a pretty basic task for a shop that can do engine work. I'm a travel nurse renting an apartment in the east valley so I A) don't have any tools here B) don't have space to be able to do this myself, and C) parking is uncovered so it's just not feasible to do this in 100+ degree heat alone, plus monsoon season is here. Looking to have the intercooler swapped and eventually have the Steeda bushings, rear diff brace and rear diff/pinion bushing kit all put in.

Make a road trip to houston and get houston speed freaks or unbroken to do it for you. Since your new here, houston speed freaks has a YouTube channel under the same name and unbroken is a member here. They both do installs. My advice gather all the parts you want installed and take them with you, you don't want to make the trip twice. Another option is L.A., the car culture/hot rodding started there, there is bound to be a shop that would do it for you.

Thank you for the advice! I've seen Unbroken pop up A LOT on just about everything and anything and love his knowledge and help to the community on here (and back and forths with the firefighter guy). I know my brother wants to help me with it but transporting all of it all the way back to Cleveland isn't the greatest option, and I'd rather use the cargo room to take a bunch of stuff I don't need back home if I'm going to trek all the way back up there. Houston isn't local either over here, but there's always the option of taking a contract over that way and unbroken is an invaluable resource and I know they'd do a damn good job with everything.

If you haven't bought anything yet, have it shipped to your brother's house then you won't have to transport it up here, it will already be there.

BTW, I'm in the Cleveland area myself.

I wish I would have gone that route and had it all sent up there, but alas, it's all here in boxes. I was considering going back up in the next few months for work but the salt and winters killed my last car so I'm trying to keep this one away from those beatings as long as I can.

Cleveland unite!!

Did you contact repair or FORD Performance/Speed shops?

I was just going through a bunch of shops through google and seeing what was near me. I wasn't really sure if I needed to go with a general shop, an engine shop, or a performance shop (I could see a case being made for any of them) and was just looking to see what places had listed as services. Watching the videos it seems like any of the above should be able to do any of those things, but I'll also admit I don't know all the nuances and specializations between all the shop subsets.

I would contact the Speed/Performance shops and ask for installer recommendations.

You might want to try The Custom Shop at Sanderson Ford in Glendale.

But if you don't have any luck down there...the shop that does all the work on my ST and Bronco here in Vegas does a great job.

Thank you for these suggestions! I will definitely look into both and look around as well since it sounds like performance shops are going to be more suitable for this work. Vegas isn't that far and I may have to make a trip up there soonish anyways so that actually works out really well too
