2025 new sync reviews?

I have a 22 ST and ordered 25 ST wanted to get reviews of the new sync software… this is one of the main reasons I am trading in the current sync sucks… ty in advance

It’s not a Sync system in the 2025s anymore. They moved to a Google Based software. Ive heard good things

I’m looking to get a 25, trying to learn about the sync3 or 4 vs google based.
is there any subscription requirements? I’ve read conflicting reviews.

Here are my thoughts on the Sync3 vs Sync4 vs Google-based systems:

-Sync3: It really isn't a horrible system, it can be good like in my Raptor, where it isn't horrible. The Sync3 is just so horribly designed in the Explorer's Vertical screen, and is an old system too, so it's slow
-Sync4: I am a huge fan of Sync4. Wireless Carplay/Android Auto are notable upgrades compared to Sync3. It is a lot faster, and has cool split screen options
-Google-Based (I have no experience with this system so I am completely speculational): not that much different then Google-based, cheaper for Ford to develop, and special connections

None require any subscription to operate, but all the above need a subscription to use the built-in navigation or SiriusXM.

To me the google based system is very similar to android auto. When switching between the two in the 25 explorer, they both have the same feel, except that I tend to stay in AA most of the time due to the apps on my phone and to get the same experience as I have when in our 2021 F150 with Sync4 when in AA. I do like seeing the map view in the IC on the 25 explorer. I also carry a Pixel phone and am a heavy Google apps user, so it is all very seamless and a great experience overall.

So the new 25 is Google based, correct?
And they require a subscription to use google navigation that is free when you use car play or android?
I get the XM costs.
Salesman I talked to was clueless so I’m trying to find out before I narrow down what to buy.

So I purchased my 2025 Explorer ST November 2. Using the FordPass app this is the information on connected services two short videos. I did not include the blue drive. I believe I got three months of it free I have already paid for another full year subscription after that date because I love it. I didn’t have time to break it down and write out the information. Check the videos. See if they help.
