Somewhere under 1,000 miles, we noticed a loud rattle in the dash at low speeds. It ended up being a manufacturing defect in the dash material that had separated and was making the noise. We then had a loud rattle in the undercarriage at low speeds on any uneven surfaces. Next was the hands-free phone static during calls. Then the left window washer stopped working. The St has been at the dealership for 15 weeks. Ford wanted to order a new dash and have in installed at the dealerships body shop. I said we did not want a car with 2,000 miles with a replace dash. After 8 weeks, Ford declined the repurchase. I called several times trying to get the case re-opened and finally they agreed. After 15 weeks, Ford agreed to buy back the car. This process is in motion this week.
Ford has offered us a $1,500 cash to apply to another Ford. We really like the ST, however, after reading so many posts regarding issues with the 2025, we are hesitant to get another one. There seems to be a lot of electrical issues the 2025 year as well as other problems. I read Ford has an increase of $800 million in warranty claims in 2024 from the previous year. The direction of Ford is going the wrong way.
