I just bought a 25 explorer st. Drove it one day and the service engine might came on. The app says it is a powertrain malfunction/Reduced power.engine light goes on and off. Took it to the dealer and they scanned it and said there was no stored codes. The next day back from the dealer light come on again !!! The car does not ever have 800 miles on it and the light has come on and off 6 times. Ford do better!!

There is a recall on this. Just a software glitch that’s needs a software update. Common problem.

Same issue here but mine is powertrain malfunction with 4 wheel drive and traction control malfunction. At dealer 10 days with no resolution so far. Hoping you didn't have the same issue. Check the FordPass app or vehicle screen to ensure you have software updates set to on. If that doesn't help, call your service advisor and ask them to run the VIN. My service advisor was able to see all error codes and the dates that they occurred.
