I've made some improvement to shifting in the past 3 months or so.

The vehicle isn't mine, but you almost always have to practice launch RPMs. When the vehicle is tuned, it tends to rev much higher than when it's stock. However, you need to make sure to check your transmission fluid level, engine oil, and differential. Upgrading the bushings is also a good idea.

Good point. I edited the comment above to include what we've seen launching the PIU. It's TOUGH on the factory wheels/tires.

The people I've seen with PIU's that have dragy'd don't have stock wheels and tires so they don't struggle the same way we have.

This is nutty for a full weight 100% stock 130,000mi police car!

Something of interest you guys may want to know, those of you who dyno!

Got a car on a a remote dynojet last week that was *NOT LINKED* meaning the front tire speed and rear tire speed differs. The car HATED it. Threw AWD errors and reduced power.

The car still however made 440whp but wasn't happy doing it. Really choppy chart. A couple times it cut power down low, then added it back. Once we got it off the dyno everything was 100% ok. Looking at the chart you can see it is not smooth, this is due to differing wheel speeds.

Lesson learned: Some cars are more sensitive than others when it comes to an unlinked dyno. To be safe, LINK the dyno when possible!
