Missing Parts

The forward passenger side corner of the air deflector touches the passenger exhaust pipe by an inch or so. The deflector is pliable and can be shaped to make room for the the passenger exhaust pipe. The passenger exhaust pipe does not get hot enough to melt the fabric. I have the Thermal R&D 2.5 inch exhaust on my 2020 Explorer ST.

The cost for the Strut insulator, rear deflector and tow eye hook came to $173 shipped. I figure if I had the dealer replace it, I would have to bring the car in to show what parts are missing. Then bring it in when parts are available, and then wait or come back to pick it up. Just not worth the aggravation so I bought them and spent 15 minutes installing them. I bought my car last July so it is also not a given that these parts would be provided and installed for free. In fact, a few owners have reported that the dealer balked or would only supply the parts but not labor.
