Need advice on lowering springs

Hi,
I'm looking to buy H&R lowering springs for my 24 ST. I had HRs on most of my cars and was always happy with them except for my '01 audi s4 (way too stiff).
1. In your experiences what is the settled height of the springs (settled drop)? I see that some people say that it doesn't settle as much as advertised (1.6/1.75).
2. How does the car feel being fully loaded (4 adults and 2 kids in the back, and a few bags full of ski gear)? I will never tow with it. Sometime I put 4-bikes on the hitch bike carrier.
3. Installation question. I see that some front HR installs have lettering in the right directions while others upside-down. I email HR and they said to install in the correct orientation. Thoughts?

I went with Eibach over H&R for the slight rake - I usually have 2 adults and 2 kids in my ST.. You really can't install the springs on the wrong side or wrong direction. Once you put them on the spring perch you will see the orientation and the springs are usually labeled.

How long did you have them on? I've heard that eibachs settle way passed their advertised drop. Any thoughts on that? How's the ride quality? I have ridden in my friends st with steedas and the ride was way too rough for my taste. H&Rs suppose to be not as stiff.

They have been installed about 6 months. The photo I uploaded was 2 weeks ago or so. That is where they settled. I was next to a ST with H&R and I was slightly higher with a rake. They were more level. Eibach recommend trimming of the bumps stops and I forgot to. But I don't bottom out. The ride was a bit bouncy at first, but once aligned and driven got much better. I am running 275/50/20 tire so I am not sure how they feel on Factory 21" or 22"

I’ve seen people tow with the lowering springs so you’ll definitely be okay with a full car of people. The lowering height should be very similar to what H&R claims. I wouldn’t worry about where the lettering is, or how it’s oriented, just make sure the spring is seated correctly.
