The dealer covered it completely under the original warranty since it was under 36 month/36K miles.
Thanks.
Well I am at 52k and just ordered a set from RockAuto. Should be here Monday and I will swap them out then.

$55 per strut/shock. Nice price.

Did you get regular ST or PIU? And do they feel better than before? I’m at 63k and wondering if I should replace them.

I got the regular ST shocks. There was no noticeable difference in the ride quality. My shocks were not leaking but thought at 50k miles it was time to swap them due to the shitty roads here in Houston.

I guess it depends on whether you are noticing leakage on the shocks, excessive rear bouncing, tire cupping, it might be time to swap them. For me it was such an easy job and cheap to do, why not. I've always heard that they should be changed at 40-50k intervals.

I would definitely replace them. Especially the rears... so easy to replace and no alignment needed. I really like the PIU's... both struts and shocks. The OE struts/shocks get very soft with age.

Thanks man. Do you think it’d be ok to just do the rears? i don’t want to mess with the front springs right now (short on time and energy)

You can definitely do just the rears and get benefit... especially with that many miles. Easy DIY.

badass. I'm looking forward to this one. Is there an online source that you recommend? I can't say that my experiences with Levittown or Tasca have been positive, but if those are the options, oh well.

I love Rockauto. Could you just double check this and make sure it's the right item? Link

Those are the ones. Good price. Should come in sealed Motorcraft boxes too.
