vehicle location in Fordpass app

What transmits vehicle location to the Fordpass app on my phone? It still showed at the dealer lot for the first one or two days it was at my house, then it showed at my house, now it is at my house but shows it parked where I was yesterday afternoon. Is there a delay? Is there something I need to do to let the app know where the vehicle is?

Update. I just locked the vehicle using the Fordpass app, and the location immediately changed to the correct location ... parked at my house. Is that what triggers the location?

I just drove about ten miles from home, stopped and turned the vehicle off and stayed in it. Immediately checked Ford Pass and it correctly showed my current location. No delay.
