I will be installing the vacuum equipment tomorrow. Got muffler and tips installed yesterday.
Did you buy the 4 single tips and have a dual end made or buy the dual tip set up from valvetroic's ?

No. I bought those duals from ebay.
Was there a reason to do that ? I'm concerned that they will fit centered in that space in the rear

If you center the single muffler tube in the rear, I don't see an issue having the tips centered.

Also, price was half of the one from Valvetronic.

I have a valvetronic exhaust on my ST and it’s perfect for everyday. I drive cross country once or twice a year and wanted something that wouldn’t drone and I’m really happy how this turned out.
Hey looking for some help with my 2.5” universal Valvetronic exhaust. Had it installed on Friday and I had them put this x pipe on ( Exhaust X Pipe 2.5" Inlet,... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082FBMTTH?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share). The drone on the highway is terrible. No matter if the valve is opened or closed and I tried all driving modes. Any insight is much appreciated.

It's the x pipe, find another one or go back to the factory mid/resonator.

Magnaflow is a more reputable company for sure. I'm not really sure how the x pipe will do. Kinda just gonna have to test it and see, when you get it put on send some sound clips, I would be interested to see how it does.

yeah I’ll for sure do that. I also sent an email to Valvetronic and their response was to add a Resonator to both pipes.

Yeah valvetronic wasn't much help from my experience.

A better x pipe should do the trick tbh.

Agreed with @2PAC. Anytime you get rid of the midpipe resonators it's going to drone unless you do some fancy calculations and put in a j pipe.

100%, but I believe you can control it or negate depending on your type of x pipe.

@Twurbo Noob is running a custom x pipe I believe, would be interesting to see what he has experienced so far.

What is the setup most people are using with their Valvetronic Exhaust to not end up with drone issues? Just the stock pipes/resonator or a well-known x-pipe manufacturer?

Stock pipes/resonator produce no drone but make the exhaust raspy. On top of that at low rpm the car sounds quiet, once you break 4k rpm the noise opens up but x pipe helps to make it more grunty in the lower rpms... that is if you can find one that has minimal drone.

In order to balance out the flow and create a better sound you need some sort of x or h pipe to balance it out, I am currently running stock resonator because I started messing around with other cars but I have an x pipe I got from from @ARC that should be drone free. I just have to actually find time to install it.

Let's see: this design decreases the exhaust velocity by at least half. Increases in volume decrease velocity and increase pressure. It probably triples the surface area which lowers the heat retention...also decreasing the velocity. So it's a no-go from a performance perspective.

But, it looks cool- guess you could get your buddies to crawl under the truck for a look.
