Wider tires?

Just got lowering springs installed and I want to keep stock wheels. What size tire can I get to make it flush in the rear? Or do I need new wheels as well? I do not want to run spacers either….anyone have a set up they are using currently as I will be in the market for new tires soon.

You can set rear camber to -.5° the make the top of the tire pretty much the same as the front. That will leave both ends inset roughly an inch. You can’t put a tire wide enough to make it flush on the stock wheel…you’re talking like a 325 width….obviously that’s not happening. You can easily go up to a 295 on the stock wheel…that’ll help and extra width always looks better overall.

Easily? I thought you can't go over 285 on a 9 IN. rim and even that was pushing it.

Hey @UNBROKEN - sorry for the ping... relevant to thread...

I've got a set of BC Forged wheels, 22x10.5. I'm seeing two options for tires right now at 305/35-R22: the MPSS and obviously the Lionharts. I'm considering going with a 295/40/22 which would allow me to run Michelin - Pilot Sport All Season 4. This saves me a bit of $, they have a longer warranty, but I am a little sad to not run 305s. The MPSS aren't all-season and are crazy expensive. The LH scare me - I really don't want my kids riding on discount tires from China.

What are your thoughts on this configuration or alternatives?

Myself and literally everyone else running them haven’t had a single issue with the Lionhart or Lexani tires. Mine saw 141 mph today on the way home and have been thrashed on triple digit runs more times than I can count and road trips from Houston to NE OK and Big Bend and I’m prepping for a run to CA now. The only thing I did was buy an extra tire to throw in the back on long trips since the 305/35 is such an oddball size and you never know what you’re gonna run into on a trip.
Are they on the same level as an MPSS? Hell no…but they’re very solid tires for the money.
A 295/40/22 will fit fine too though…no worries there and lots more choices too.

Can you rotate the lionharts from side to side? Or are they specific "outside and inside" marked?

There’s an inside and outside, yes. They’re not directional though and can be rotated side to side.

Dang that doesn't help me... My issue now is wearing on the insides from the camber on these HRs. No one has been able to get the rear aligned in spec and I've burned through this set of tires pretty quick. I need to be able to rotate the inside to the outside.

It’s shocking to me that people still can’t align these things. Tell your idiot alignment shop that we figured out 3 years ago the rear camber adjustment is the upper control arm where it meets the frame. Yes they’ll have to reach way up there. No it doesn’t look right. Yes that’s where it adjusts from and it will easily get into spec.

^^^^This! Even two Ford dealers told me they couldn’t get it in spec and sent me home with the rear way out of spec. Looks and runs better once I found an alignment guy without his head up his a$$.

Well I order a set of 295/40r21 Lionharts just now. I will update everyone here with the fit on the stock 21s.

Went to my local dealer after 4 alignment attempts and showed them a screenshot of this..... they got it perfectly in spec afterwards lol
