Welcome to the forum. Several factors determine how good of a buy this ST is. Cost, mileage and maintenace logs. Looks like a used police vehicle which means it could have been well maintained or drove really hard. I'm not too good on used vehicles. Most of mine I purchased new. But being retired from law enforcement after 44 yrs of service I know how some officers can beat a vehicle into the ground or take care of it like it was his own. Did the department have a take home care program or was it ran 24/7.

Only one part was changed in the vehicle and it covered 30000 km. The interior of the vehicle has changed, what I want to know is what kind of problems will it cause me in the future or how is it different from a normal explorer, what should I pay attention to?

My personal opinion is that I wouldn't buy it just my thoughts. I would look elsewhere for a ST that wasn't used in law enforcement or some type of public service.

^^^ Ditto. They'd have to be all but giving it away for me to acquire a used cop car, with it being my only dependable means of transportation.

I've had good very good experiences in buying a former squad car. You should always look for a Sherrif's dept and a one driver assigned vehicle. The place where I have bought my last 4 is in Chicago and they only do govt vehicles and buy consistently from departments that take care of the vehicle. My newest 2021 interceptor utility has all records from day 1 and all the history from the ford dealership that did all the maintenance. To me the truck drives like new and if all these guys drive their ST's like a cop car all the time, it might as well be a cop car! Except mine has the 10R80 transmission as well as all the stiffer motor and trans mounts, bearings etc. So these vehicles will last a long time if serviced on time and not going over 5k on oil change.

I think they are designed to idle as long as the coolant and belt, idlers are replaced when needed. I've seen some terrible examples with 13k hours idling and not any services logged in carfax. I would stay far away. Maintenance is everything for these high performance engines to last.
