Unfortunately the 2020 fully optioned red ST with EVERYTHING I very recently purchased was rearended (not at fault)
Visual damage was moderate, we assumed the tow hitch and ball took most of the blow (50-60mph)
To no surprise, once they got it apart the damage was a lot worse and the rear frame rails are toast and theyre likely to just total it out.
ill be above water and profit, if / when they finalize and cut the check upon total loss.
i know the 21-24 years are de-contented as yall say. Is the 2025 enough of a leap top justify the price?
prior to the 20EXST i crossed shopped rs3's s6's, macan turbo, sq5/sq8, glc63amgs but they either had too little options for the cost or were too slow feeling for the cost.
Im a car guy, have a summer track car and race at the track often. I do 90% of my own work. I am not worried about maintenance in the slightest.
Im just wondering if it would make sense to sell the totaled 2020 and get a 25 or leave the platform all together. .
It is not damage in the sense of complete total loss, more in the realm of the cost to repair is not reasonable to the insurance company. If a new tailgate, bumpers and hitch were put on, you would not know it was rearended
last little bit, TUXMAT's for the explorer are amazing and im sad i only got 1 week of use out of them before the vehicle was hit.
